There truly is no place more magical than Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. No matter what walk of life you come from, you are sure to have a wonderful time while in Disney, and better yet, there are hotels in Orlando that are right on Disney property so your vacation can remain magical every moment of your stay. With so many things to do, see, and experience while at Disney it can be overwhelming trying to decide what you absolutely must experience. Truth be told, one trip will not do the expansive park justice, but the following are things you definitely don’t want to miss.
5) World Showcase
Set aside a half a day at least to go on a tour around the world in Epcot’s World Showcase. Each “country” has various food, entertainment, ride, and shopping opportunities that will have you feeling like you have been transported to a faraway land.
4) Thrill Rides
Disney world is not all lovable characters and kiddie rides, there is some serious adrenaline to be experienced. Be sure to check out Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (MGM), Expedition Everest in the Animal Kingdom, and the classics like Space Mountain and Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom.
3) Water Parks
No vacation would be complete without some pool time, rather than lounging by the pool at your hotel, check out the two water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. You can even swim with sharks!
2) Downtown Disney
If you can manage to steal yourselves away from the kids for a few hours, check out the great nightlife Downtown Disney has to offer. Can’t leave them behind? No problem because DisneyQuest has five floors of entertainment and interactive games for your kids—that should keep them occupied for a while.
1) Be a Kid
The absolute number one thing you must do on your Disney vacation is let loose and allow yourself to be a kid again. Regardless if you have young ones with you or not—no one is immune to the magic of Disney World so don’t fight it. You want to ride the teacups but don’t have any kids with you? Go ahead! No one will judge you.
The hotels in Orlando that are on Disney property are spread out through the “world” so you can get a spot close to your favorite park. For those with young kids, maybe you want to be close to the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom and for the adults, being close to Epcot, MGM, or Downtown Disney would be ideal. No matter where you stay or what you decide to experience while staying at Disney, it will be an adventure you will never forget.
