Sitting at the heart of the Baden-Wurttemberg region, this city’s rich cultural heritage and interesting historical sites has made it a hub for tourists for decades.
However, the fun doesn’t really start until the sun has set. Read on to find out where’s hot to go in the city if you want to experience the full force of Stuttgart’s nightlife.
Bars
Always the best place to start a night out – and Stuttgart has an abundance for you to choose from. It doesn’t matter where you go, you’ll always be able to find an Irish bar. O’Reilly’s is located in the heart of the city and offers a traditional welcome to visitors.
Sample a mixture of Western and German beers whilst you catch the latest live sport on one of its many TV screens. The pub also offers a range of Irish food – perfect for getting yourself prepared for a big night out.
If a bustling pub isn’t your scene then Treppe-Café offers a more sedate atmosphere. Its sleek interior and comfy sofas provide the perfect place to rest up before you hit the dance floor later in the night. Try one of their excellent cocktails as you sit back and make the most of their alfresco dining. And if you are lucky enough to be in Stuttgart for summer then you should check out the Cannstatter Volkfest.
Second only to Munich’s Oktoberfest, the three week-long festival has a plethora of beer tents alongside German cuisine and entertainment. Be warned though – the partying and drinking can go on late into the night.
Nightclubs
Don’t worry, there’s still plenty to do when the clock strikes midnight. Zap Club is one of the finest the city has to offer and is popular with Stuttgart’s trendy masses due to its refined cocktail menu and funky music.
The Die Rohre club is one of the oldest in Stuttgart and located under the arch of a busy road bridge. It offers more industrial music and is famous for its legendary one-off events. And if you want to go somewhere extremely popular then Perkins Park is the ideal club for you.
The busiest in the city, it has multiple dance floors to accommodate a range of music (and dancing abilities).
…and once the clubs close
But you can’t party all the time. The city is famously welcoming to visitors, so no matter what your budget, you will find a hotel Stuttgart will be proud of.
