This weekend sees another round of Premier League action as England’s top flight nears the end of the season.
With just a few games to go there’s a lot to play for at the top and bottom of the league, and here are our top football betting tips:
Tottenham v Southampton: Spurs easy win
If there is one place this weekend where a bet is almost guaranteed it is at White Hart Lane, where a determined Spurs meet a Saints side with little to play for now survival is secured.
With Gareth Bale on top form and Jermain Defoe finding his scoring boots again Tottenham should have no trouble netting three or four here, boosting their chances of a Champions League finish.
West Brom v Wigan: Latics scrape win
Five points behind in the drop zone but with a crucial game in hand, Wigan need victory at the Hawthorns to have any chance of surviving relegation. Their boss Roberto Martinez will be optimistic his side can scrape a win and so should betting fans.
Their performance against Tottenham last weekend echoed of previous seasons – where last-ditch attempts to stay in the league worked. Expect a tight game but one Wigan will win this Saturday.
QPR v Arsenal: Gunners blow Rangers away
Rangers are down and have nothing to play for but that won’t mean they won’t make life difficult for the Gunners. Arsenal need wins in their last three games to stand a chance of making the top four and, with five victories in their last seven and an impressive performance against Man United last weekend, Arsene Wenger’s side should win this 3-0.
Man United v Chelsea: Blues lose more ground
Sir Alex Ferguson may have already won the Premier League title but he was nevertheless displeased with a 1-1 draw at the Emirates last weekend.
The boss will expect a performance at home and would love to see Chelsea – title usurpers on three occasions over his Old Trafford reign – finish fifth. Betting fans should back a United win or draw, with the Blues losing more ground on the top four.
